Armenia determined to bolster ties with Iran

TEHRAN, Jul. 26 (MNA) – Iran's First Vice-President, Jahangiri, received the visiting Armenian Energy Minister, Yolyan, in Tehran on Tuesday.

“Iran sees no limitation in broadening ties with Armenia and economic ties of the two countries should be developed the same way the good political and cultural relations of the two countries are flourishing,” said Iran's First Vice-President, Es'hagh Jahangiri, in his meeting with visiting Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia, Levon Yolyan, in Tehran on Tuesday.

Describing Yolyan’s visit to Tehran very constructing in Iran-Armenia relations, Jahangiri contended that the exchange of delegations between Tehran and Yerevan has been very positively contributive to the growing status of bilateral ties between the neighboring countries.

“The banking relations between Tehran and Yerevan should be very soon resumed to remove the barriers ahead of expansion of economic ties between the two countries,” demanded the Iranian Veep after referring to the successful implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (the agreement signed between Tehran and 5+1 group on July 14, 2015, in Vienna).

The Iranian official also highlighted the vast capacity of Iranian private companies and called for better conditions to pave the way for Iranian investors and traders.

The Armenian minister, for his part, highlighted the importance of ties with Iran for Armenia and underlined that Iran has always been a friendly neighbor for Armenia with benevolence in intentions.  

Referring to his meetings with Iranians officials like Oil Minister, Zanganeh, Energy Minister Chitchian, and Industries Minister, Nematzadeh, Yolyan voiced content with his visit to Tehran and voiced hope to contribute to the interests of both countries.

Saying that he is aware of the capabilities of Iranian companies, Yolyan asserted that he is going to pave the way for having more Iranian companies in Armenia.
